In our work as jewelers, we meet all kinds of customers – from those who are well into the process to those who are just starting to explore their own style and preferences, as well as the many choices available.

Choosing a ring or a piece of jewellery to wear for a lifetime takes some thought.

Some come in with a clear idea of which metal they want – usually yellow gold or white gold – but there’s also platinum and red gold to consider.

Once the metal is chosen, the next step is the ring style: plain or textured, oval or straight, narrow or wide, with or without stones.

Should the engagement and wedding rings be two separate rings?

If you want a stone, what kind should it be? Oval, perhaps, if you want to give your ring an elongated look – maybe oval simply suits your finger better? Or maybe you’re drawn to the classic round cut. Perhaps you want multiple stones in different sizes.
